Good kbbq spot - solid food, good environment. The seating is very Korean styled so it was cute. We got the marinated meat package, seafood pancake, steamed egg, tebbokki and some other meat. Would recommend.

Wonderful food and service. They truly went out of their way to make sure our party of 3 were happy. The food was amazing and a lot. We took some home. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.

Came with a friend after work. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us. Prices seemed high when we first sat down but it was a lot of food and worth it. We went with the wine marinated pork belly and boneless sliced prime short rib. There is a minimum 2 dish order to grill. The meat came to the table and we thought we would be grilling our selves but turned out they grill for you. Huge variety of banchan so you can change the taste by adding different ingredients to your wrap (or eat the meat straight). With drinks, bill came to about $200. Great spot for a special occasion with great service. You can sit and relax and have fun without worrying about overcooking the meat since they do it for you. Best part, you don't smell like a bbq because the vent sucks up the smoke.

Had a great time here! We were two people and split one of the beef combos. With the banchan, it was definitely enough for two. The spicy beef and mushrooms were really good, and they were attentive in coming back to cook more for us as we ate. The cocktails were pretty good too. Would recommend!

Loved my visit to Dons Bogam! If there were half stars, I'd do a 4.5, but I'll round up since I don't want to delete points! I'll describe why below 5 stars The ambiance and look/feel was beautiful inside and very alluring. And the seating style was really interesting...sort of a sunken in space below the table... hard to describe... Not a chair, not a booth... let's call it a chooth! Points for uniqueness. First -- it's a little pricey (less exciting). But it's tasty, feels unique and authentic -- and the customers seem to be having a ball! 5 stars Our server, Junh, was fabulous -- and my husband even remarked to him that he seemed like a movie star! But a very humble one, as he was so approachable and kind. NOTE: If you want to do the BBQ meat at the table , at least 2 people at the table have to order it. You don't have to order the same meat, but you they won't operate the BBQ for just a solo order. 5 stars So my husband and my friend each ordered a kind of beef. I'm not a red-meat eater, but even I enjoyed both kinds. The free appetizers were delicious. And the japchae was the BEST I ever tasted -- and I eat this dish a lot! My husband had some kind of beef tartare, and he loved it. 4 stars I ordered a chicken bibimbap and a tofu stew. I will say, the bibimbap was good but not the best -- it's marinate flavor was a little funny to me... maybe I'm used to a little more bold flavor -- and this was more umami perhaps? Not totally sure. Also, I've had better rice texture for a stone bowl scenario. The Tofu Stew with Soybean Paste (Doenjang Jjigae) was delicious -- special flavor, very tasty! 4 stars My husband and I each had a cocktail -- Purple Rain and Dons Spicy. Both were solid/pretty good but not great. I wish they had more choices here... but it wasn't why I came. They have many types of alcohol that I might try instead next visit. 5 They also did us a favor and let us in despite not "really" having the room for us -- so they squeezed us in before the next table if we promised to mind the clock. And for that, I'm rounding up to 5 stars. Next time, I'll try an Artisinal Soju to drink and maybe a chicken on the BBQ. Can't wait for a take 2!

TL;DR: 100% recommend. Delicious food, great service, and nice atmosphere. Food: 5 The meat was so good, and the side dishes weren't too salty! Refills galore :-) Service: 5 Want to give them a 6 . . . They grilled the meat for us, were very attentive, and overall friendly and kind. Ambiance: 5 Nice restaurant décor, and it wasn't too loud or quiet. My food also didn't smell like barbecue afterwards thanks to the tubes above the grill--very nice.

Amazing experience. This place was sexy, classy and regal all at the same time. Kudos for pulling that off and not being "cringe-y". I loved it. The food was amazing. I honestly don't know which was better the food or the service! This is a perfect date spot. 10 out of 10 recommend.
